Red Clearance Time Extension System effectively detects vehicles that have not yet cleared the work area and adjusts red clearance intervals in real-time to assure drivers safe passage out of the work zone. By creating a special zone of detection, the system scans for vehicles that need more time to clear the work area or intersection, and holds all opposing green indications until the detection zone has been cleared. This revolutionary new product not only increases overall traffic flow efficiency, but dramatically increases the safety in the work zone.
